Workshop
Workshop and small group sessions focused on developing story, strengthening your practice and building the skills needed to function as a writer.
These are not traditional screenwriting classes.
We do not sit back and analyse finished work.
We focus on what actually happens when story is created. The decisions, the pivots, the moments where something clicks or falls apart. The energy of building something in real time, especially alongside other writers.
Workshops are small by design.
They are thoughtful, supportive spaces where you can test ideas, challenge your thinking and learn through doing.
All sessions are currently online.

Writer’s Room Experience
Most television writers will encounter a writer’s room at some point. It can be energising, collaborative and fast-moving. It can also be where pressure shows up.
You are expected to pitch clearly, respond quickly, build on other people’s ideas and handle your own being challenged or rejected. For some writers, the creative work is not the issue. It is the confidence, the performance aspect, or simply finding your place in the room.
This workshop gives you a chance to experience that environment before it matters professionally.
Writers room experience £75 pp.
You will:
- Practise pitching ideas in the moment
- Build and shape story as a group
- Respond to notes and challenges in real time
- Develop confidence in a room setting
This mirrors how story conferences work on long-running dramas, soaps, development and reflects how some schemes and companies assess new writers.
To keep things clear of copyright, you will not bring original work. Instead, you will be given a series brief and story prompt. From there, the group builds what happens next, shaping storylines and breaking them into episodes together.
It is practical, fast-paced and often surprising.
It gives you real experience of how writers’ rooms feel, in a space where there is no job on the line and room to learn.
You can always edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page.

Writer Development Workshops
All sessions are currently online.
These sessions focus on the writer as much as the writing.
Areas include confidence, creative blocks, pitching, voice, stress management and resilience building.
The work draws on both industry practice and Hypno-CBT, creating a space where you can develop your craft alongside the mindset that supports it.
The aim is not just to understand writing, but to build a way of working that is sustainable.
